You must send your physical passport- copies cannot be used for visa issuance.
Your signed passport must be valid and contain sufficient blank visa pages- visas are stamps affixed to the blank "visa" pages of your passport. Amendment pages (clearly marked as such) in the back of your passport are not acceptable for visa issuance.
Your passport's expiration date must be greater than six months from the date you plan to depart the country you intend to visit. If your passport does not meet this requirement, you must renew your passport or obtain a new one prior to applying for your visa.
Notarized invitation from entity, host or sponsor in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
As of December 1st, 2014, any invitation or letter of support issued by an individual residing in the Democratic Republic of the Congo must be duly NOTARIZED by an assigned PUBLIC NOTARY, whose signature is then ENDORSED by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Francophone.
For Invitations or letter of support sent by someone from provinces in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, once NOTARIZED, the letter of invitation/support must also be validates by a subsidiary office (Centre de Capture) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Francophonie in that province.
You must provide a copy of your roundtrip airline confirmation indicating the dates of entry and exit from the country you intend to visit. Your name must be on the ticket (do not send original ticket).
Note: If you are crossing a border by car please write a brief letter of explanation. You still need to provide a roundtrip airline itinerary to foreign country closest to your destination. Make sure to sign the letter- original signature required.
