Emergency Passports

IMPORTANT: The U.S. Passport Agency has a limited number of Emergency Processing Slots (EPS). If your departure date is in 5 business days or less, you must call Passport Visas Express.com immediately at (888) 596-6028 to reserve an Emergency Passport Slot.

 

If you do not reserve an EPS there is no guarantee we will be able to honor your request for Emergency Passport Processing.

Due to severe weather in the Washington, D.C. metro area many Embassies are closed. The US Government's unscheduled leave policy is in effect which may result in the delay of  passport applications. Please also consider the delay of packages sent to you by FedEx. Please visit www.FedEx.com  to track your package  for delivery information. If your order is completed the tracking number for the return of your documents can be found in the Order Tracking section  after you login to your account.

President's Day Closings

Following the executive order of the President of the United States, all federal government offices including U.S Passport Agencies and most foreign embassies will be closed on February 18th, 2008 for President's Day.

Passport Fee Increase

Beginning February 1, 2008, the Department of State will institute a new fee schedule for passport services. At this time applicants will also have the option of pre-ordering a new Passport Card, a low cost, limited use (land and sea only) alternative to the Passport Book designed for those living along the border. In addition, the age for which both parents must appear and sign a passport application on behalf of a child will increase from 14 to 16 years old.

Child Passports: both Parents required to apply

To protect children from abduction, and to address concerns regarding runaway children, beginning February 1, both parents will be required to personally appear at a passport acceptance facility, passport agency or U.S. consular section abroad with minor applicants under the age of 16 (up from age 14) and sign the application.
