A Tourist Visa is Required:

Travelers who wish to visit Bhutan must request a Tourist visa through a licensed tour operator in Bhutan. Once approved, a copy of the visa will be sent to the traveler.

On arrival in Bhutan, the traveler will present their passport, 2 passport photos, and a fee of $20 USD to receive the original visa sticker.
