Vietnam visa information is for citizens of all countries.

If you were born in Vietnam, please complete BOTH the Vietnam visa application form (in English) and the Vietnam Born visa application form (in Vietnamese) and include both applications when sending your documents.


Visa Validity: Tourist visas (less than 30 days stay) are issued for a specific period of time with a maximum stay of 30 days, or 90 days if the applicant is of Vietnamese origin. The entry date you write on your application will be the date your visa becomes valid for entry. You will not be able to enter before this date. For example you enter January 1st- your visa would therefore be valid and allow you to enter no earlier than January 1st. 

An additional 20 days of stay can be requested after arrival in Vietnam for a fee of $25.

The Vietnamese visa is valid for entry and exit through Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City or DaNang Airports only. If your point of entry is different (e.g. by rail) you must specifically state this on your visa application so that it will be noted on your visa.
