*An invitation letter issued by a company, corporation, institution, or an individual in China
must contain all of the following information.

Written on company letterhead

Addressed to the Embassy or Consulate of China where application will be submitted

State the personal information of the applicant: full name, gender, date of birth and passport details: number, issue and expiration date

State the position of the applicant at the company

Explain the relationship between the host and the applicant

Briefly state the nature or purpose of applicant's visit
-
State the approximate date of visit, the date of arrival and departure from China

Indicate who will be responsible for the cost of the applicant’s accommodations and expenses while in China

Have personal information of the inviting host: name of the unit or Department, Name of individual who signs the letter, direct phone number (include extension) or preferably the cell phone number, address (physical location) of signer*

Specifically state the city or cities to be visited

Specify the validity of the visa and number of entries the applicant is requesting.

Must be signed by host, and have the company's seal

The Chinese Embassy and consulates have advised that they will conduct random calls to the individual who has signed the Letter of Invitation. To make the process as seamless as possible and avoid possible delay, please insure that detailed contact information of the signer is provided.
