USA and Chile Sign Visa Waiver Agreement, Remove Reciprocity Fees

The United States and Chile recently signed an agreement admitting Chile into the U.S. Visa Waiver Program. The agreement will be implemented on May 1, 2014.

Chilean nationals may enter the United States without a visa and stay for up to 90 days for purposes of tourism or business provided they obtain an ESTA in advance.

As of February 24, 2014 the International Airport in Santiago, Chile discontinued collecting the $160 reciprocity fee from visiting USA nationals.
