The Passport and Visa Office of the Chinese Embassy will be closed on the following dates in 2014:

Thursday-Friday, January 30-31	Chinese New Year’s Day
Monday, February 17	President's Day
Thursday-Friday, May 1-May 2	International Labor Day
Monday, May 26	Memorial Day
Friday, July 4	Independence Day
Friday, August 1	Substitute for Chinese Holiday
Monday, September 1	Labor Day
Wednesday, October 1	China’s National Day
Monday, October 13	Columbus Day
Monday, November 12	Veterans Day
Thursday-Friday, November 27-28	Thanksgiving Day
Thursday, December 25	Christmas Day

Please note that some China Consulates have additional closing days:

January 30 - February 3 in observance of China's New Year Day: Los Angeles and New York Consulates

September 8 in observance of Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival: San Francsico Consulate

October 1, 2, and 3 in observance of China's National Holiday: Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco Consulates

December 24-25 in observance of Christmas Day: Los Angeles Consulate

December 25-26 in observance of Christmas Day: Chicago Consulate
