A Business Letter of responsibility written by the company sending you to China is required and must included the following:

• The letter must be addressed to the "Consulate of China".
• The letter must be on company letterhead and signed by someone at company other than the person applying for the visa.
• The letter must state your position within the company.
• The letter must explain the nature or purpose of business and the duration of the proposed business trip.
• The letter must state the name as well as the address of individual(s), department(s), and organization(s) in China you intend to visit.
• The letter must also guarantee all of your financial expenses while in China and your return from China to the United States.
• Fax or email copies of the letter are accepted provided the letter is singed.
• If you are applying for a 2 year multiple entry visa your business letter must specifically request the 2 year visa or you will be issued a 1 year visa by default.
